Committee Charge
Approves courses proposed to satisfy the U.S. Cultures and Communities course requirement for undergraduate students.
Submit a course for review
For courses that transfer in as specific Iowa State courses, the transfer credit will fulfill the U.S. Cultures and Communities requirement if the counterpart ISU course fulfills the requirement.
If the transfer course does not have an equivalent Iowa State course, use the following instructions:
- Submit the name of the student requesting the review, name of the university/college offering the course, the term taken, and the syllabus for the course to Kelsey Gillen (kmgillen@iastate.edu) to enter into the review process.
- Once a decision has been reached, the advisor will be contacted with the results via email.
- The advisor will submit an APR request in Workday and attach the email and course syllabus to the submission.
